I am a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Political Science and early professional experience at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts in Washington, D.C. During that time, I also held the title of *Miss San Diego County* for Miss America and placed in the Top 5 at Miss California—the first Filipina-American to do so at the time. Beyond the recognition, this became the arena where I honed my communication skills and built the confidence that has carried me through each stage of my career.
My career began in education, teaching at both the elementary and college levels. I taught 5th grade and Math Resource at Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Pre-K/K at St. John’s Hawaii, and led Operation Hero for students of deployed military service members through the Armed Services YMCA in San Diego. Later, I taught at the College of Southern Nevada within the Business Services & Economic Workforce Development program. While teaching, I pursued my MBA at Western Governors University—a pioneering model in competency-based, online learning at the time, now a cornerstone of modern education.
At the start of the pandemic, I pursued a long-held goal of attending law school. I graduated with my Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where I worked with our law school's Veteran’s Legal Clinic as a Certified Law Clerk, and the Children’s Department at Casa Cornelia Law Center.
Since 2020, my husband Alexander (“Xander”) and I have worked as a real estate team under the Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty brand. We were fortunate to be mentored by the late Dan Conway—Buffalo Bills and Boston College football player—and his wife Pattie Conway, former Pardee Executive. Together with Team Dan Conway & Associates, we achieved SDAR Platinum recognition in 2021 and 2022, and contributed to the team’s milestone achievement of $1 billion in sales before Dan’s passing in 2023.
Outside of work, we enjoy time with family in Coronado and Malibu, attending Mass, staying active, and taking scenic road trips along the California coast. In 2019, I published my first short book to inspire others, "Making it" which is still available on Amazon.
I am a working writer. I am dedicated to sitting down to write every day. It is a practice and a journey.
My writing grows with your feedback. Please come to a reading or signing event and share your experience.
